Atomic Openings

    For most people, the stumbling block is the opening.  There are several vicious attacks that can occur in atomic if one does not know to avoid playing into certain lines.  However, I feel that the emphasis on openings has blown out of proportion.  As long as it gets you into the middlegame, it should be playable.  It certainly shouldn't be a dead-loss, in such cases you ought to stop playing that opening.

    I haven't had the time or desire to do a full in-depth revision / creation of an entirely new Atomic ECO.  The Atomix book is available for those that want to examine a few openings to discover why they are bad or why they work.  There are a number of current players trying to revise / create their own books.

    All that I can offer for the time being is to study the Atomix book to see what to do and what NOT to do.  The problem is you'll have to be able to figure out what the bad lines are on your own!  But Rekursiv and tipau have both written excellent starting points to begin with.  There are a few other resources that you can utilize in your atomic studies (there were more but I've removed them):
